Richard Bustillo, known on stage as Richie B, is a Singer/Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born on the Southside of San Antonio, Texas.  San Antone exposes a plethora of music genres and Richie soaked them up. Doo Wop, Motown and Soul were heavy influences as he grew up and all contributed to his highly energetic style. At age nine Richie captured large crowds at many local city events with his vocals and love for music.
Learning how to play guitar at the age of 13 led Richie to start a punk rock/nu-metal band. Playing bigger stages during these fertile years helped him sharpen many essential music business skills including band leadership, song writing and logistics. Once growing out of his teenage angst phase, he fell back in love with Soul, Doo Wop, Rockabilly and Country music. Working with the city band organized by San Anotnio Parks and Recreation opened many doors into San Antonio’s music industry.  Richie has played backyard BBQ joints, bars and has even been fortunate enough to perform at a handful of historic venues throughout Texas. Many festivals and events around the San Antonio area hire him to entertain local folks and he is working his way up the I-35 corridor. You can often catch him stomping around Burnet, Marble Falls and the Hill Country making a name for himself.
In 2019 Richie won the Texas Raw Competition at the Cotton Country Club in Granger, TX, which included a three song recording project. The pandemic hindered the progress of the entire recording process, production and release of his prize; however, the project has finally come fruition. Richie recorded basic tracks in Nashville, TN and the final production was finished up in Texas with producers, Lee Weaver and John Stacy. His debut single will be released on May 24th 2022 and will be available everywhere on streaming services.
